Principal
I am extremely privileged to be the Principal at St. Kevin’s and love working alongside our families and staff to support all our amazing children.
My passions outside of school are family (father of three!), motorcycling and supporting the mighty Magpies!

Andrew Butler
Deputy Principal - Engagement
Hello everyone, my name is Andrew Butler and I’m one of the Deputy Principals here at St Kevins; such a vibrant and family orientated school! The students and staff are the heart of our school and we greatly value our relationships and connections. My passions include life in the great outdoors, gardening, mountain bike riding, reading and generally staying fit. I love holidays with my family and having some fun every day!

I have been working as a chaplain in school settings for 16 years now, and love this work as much now as when I first began. At St Kevin’s my role is largely to support students one on one. My aim is for them to feel supported, valued, empowered and equipped for the many and varied challenges that life provides them with. I love getting to journey with the students, and have loads of fun doing so. Outside of work I love having time with my family, friends, dogs and yoga classes.

I’ve been teaching since 2009, with experience in Performing Arts, Physical Education, and senior primary education. I believe in a data-driven approach to teaching, using insights to tailor learning experiences that help every student succeed. Just as important to me is building strong connections with my students—because learning happens best when we feel supported and engaged. Outside of school, I’m a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, coach freestyle wrestling, and enjoy playing guitar. Most of all, I love spending time with my wife and son.

I feel privileged to be exploring creativity with all of our amazing students. Visual Arts provides authentic experiences where students can take risks, problem solve, and express themselves in meaningful ways.
When I am not teaching, I am chasing after my son, our dog, and working our family sheep farm.

Hello! I am privileged to be part of an amazing team of Learning Support Officers at St. Kevin’s. My interaction with the school began in 2012, when my eldest was in Prep. Then in 2017, I joined the wonderful staff team and have loved working with children. Outside of school, I love teaching children about Jesus in my Church – Sunday School. I also love cooking, gardening, singing in a choir and reading a good “who-done-it?” book.
